Jeep JK Gen V LT Swap Custom Builders Mount & Component Kit (2007–2018)
The Engineered Low-Slung Engine Mount Solution for 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK V8 Conversions
Harsh drivetrain angles and mismatched installation parts can completely ruin a Jeep Wrangler JK V8 conversion. At Wicked Wrench Motorsports, we engineered our custom Jeep JK Gen V LT swap motor mounts to sit the engine significantly lower in the chassis frame rails than our competitors.
This exclusive low-slung, adjustable design delivers optimal driveline angles, maximum hood clearance, and a smooth, vibration-free ride on lifted street rigs and extreme off-road trails.
Because our custom motor mounts optimize engine placement for better rear pinion angles, this GM Gen V LT engine swap layout requires a center-style accessory drive setup or a centered water pump for proper frame clearance (such as the water pump found on 2020-Up GM Trucks).
⚠️ Warning: The standard low-mount or far-left (driver-side) water pump found on factory L83 and L86 engines will interfere with your factory Jeep JK steering box.

🔥 Supported GM Gen V V8 Platforms
Our adjustable mounting foundation is precision-engineered to accommodate all modern direct-injected GM Gen V powertrain configurations:
  • L83 & L84 (5.3L V8): Ultimate high-efficiency daily driver choices.
  • L86 & L87 (6.2L V8): Premium, massive high-horsepower truck/SUV pullouts.
  • LT1 (6.2L Performance V8): Requires truck accessory drive or recommended LT2 intake conversion.
  • L8T & L8P (6.6L V8): Heavy-duty, high-torque iron block and crate platforms.

📦 What is Included in the Base Kit ($1,049.99)

  • WWM Fully Adjustable Upper Engine Block Mounts:
  • Precision CNC-cut steel block adapter plates with a slotted design to fine-tune engine placement.
  • WWM Bolt-In Frame Engine Saddle:
  • Rugged structural steel cross-saddle that drops directly between factory JK frame rails without guesswork alignment.
  • Heavy-Duty Corvette Engine Bushings:
  • Premium, high-performance bushings that deliver rock-solid stability without transferring harsh vibration to the cabin.
  • Transmission Crossmember Conversion Bracket:
  • Engineered for flawless drivetrain centerline alignment when adapting modern GM transmissions to the factory JK crossmember.
  • Drive-By-Wire Gas Pedal Adapter Mount:
  • Custom-fit under-dash bracket designed to securely lock a heavy-duty electronic throttle pedal into place. (Pedal option and updated mounting hardware selected below).

WWM Powertrain Module & Fuse Box Fender Mount Bracket:

  • A heavy-duty engine bay bracket tailored to your specific build.

    • For 6L Transmissions: Includes our ECM / Fuse Box Fender Mount that sits perfectly above the old Mopar ECM location.
    • For 8L or 10L Transmissions: Upgraded to our comprehensive ECM / Fuse Box / TCM Combo Bracket.
    • (Make sure to select your exact transmission speed option below so we pack the correct bracket).

    • WWM OE Jeep JK Shifter Cable Adapter Bracket:
    • A precision-bent steel adapter that allows you to retain your factory interior Jeep JK/JKU center console shifter. Connects your stock cable directly to GM 6L, 8L, or 10L automatic transmissions for clean, crisp gear detents.

🛠️ Pro Builder Installation & Clearance Rules

⚙️ 1. The Valvetrain Rule (DOD / AFM Delete)
While your engine is pulled for the swap, we highly recommend performing a full mechanical Displacement on Demand (DOD) / Active Fuel Management (AFM) delete. Eliminating these failure-prone factory collapsing lifters ensures long-term powertrain reliability on the trail.
At Wicked Wrench Motorsports, we source and install industry-leading Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center (SDPC) DOD Delete Kits for our in-house shop builds. Their component packages are unmatched in quality and valvetrain performance.

🏎️ 2. The Gen V Intake Manifold Rule (LT2 vs. LT1 vs. Truck)
When doing a Jeep LT swap, we always use a Gen V LT2 intake manifold rather than a standard truck intake. The LT2 manifold allows your custom A/C lines to fit beautifully, makes your intake air tube infinitely easier to route, prevents the intake components from rubbing against the factory Jeep hood, and delivers a much cleaner, professional show-quality finish.
  • The LT2 intake does need to be modified to fit. If you want a pre-modified intake, [Click Here].
🚨 Why You Should Avoid the LT1 Intake
We strongly recommend NOT using a standard LT1 intake manifold on a Jeep JK conversion. The LT1 throttle body faces excessively downward, making the custom intake tube extremely difficult to fabricate. Furthermore, the LT1 design actively robs your engine of critical low-and-mid-range horsepower and torque. The LT2 intake numbers are vastly superior, delivering the low-end grunt required for massive trail tires and heavy rigs.

📐 3. Engine Alignment Rule
When setting your adjustable motor mounts during installation, you must slide and adjust the engine as far to the right (passenger side) as possible. Pushing the block to the passenger side is mandatory to clear your factory Jeep JK steering shaft and create the required engine bay room for an efficient V8 cooling system radiator and fan package.

⚙️ 4. Transfer Case Sourcing & Generation Rule
In the Jeep V8 conversion industry, every single builder doing a Gen V LT swap uses either a 1st Generation (2007–2011) 3.8L 241J transfer case or a high-end custom rock crawler T-case. The newer 2nd Gen (2012–2018) 3.6L Pentastar transfer case layout will absolutely not work for a GM swap.
  • If your Jeep is a 2007–2011 model with the factory 3.8L engine, you already have the correct 241J T-case.
  • The 241J will be required to have the input shaft replaced with a 32-spline output. You will also require a clocking ring.

💡 Sourcing Your Donor 241J Transfer Case
If you are swapping a 2012–2018 JK, you must source a 1st Gen 3.8L 241J pullout assembly to complete your conversion. When we do these swaps at Wicked Wrench Motorsports, we source our clean donor T-cases from B&R Auto Wrecking. They ship nationwide, have locations coast-to-coast, and consistently offer the cheapest prices on inspected pullout assemblies.

💧 5. L8T Water Pump Rule
If you are running an L8T setup, you must ensure you have the correct centered water pump design to clear our low-slung frame mounts. Please watch our [Wicked Wrench Motorsports YouTube Guide] to check your specific pump profile against our installation clearances before finalizing your order.
